DSNCS Support at School Committee MeetingMay 27, 2015
On May 27, 2015 the Bolling Building was host to student families, DSNI and DSNCS staff as they reminded the school committee that DSNCS students deserve ample and appropriate space to learn and thrive. The families who spoke conveyed their deep love for the school's achievement and community; their appreciation to BPS for the support we have received, and the clear message that the district must keep its promises of temporary portables by August 1 of this year and four permanent classrooms by August 1 of next year.

Makya Ware Speaks at Gov. Baker's First Post-Inaugural Public EventJanuary 08, 2015
Dudley Street School 3rd grader Makya Ware addressed Gov. Charlie Baker and about 150 community members at the Kroc Center in Roxbury for Gov. Baker's first post-inaugural public event.
"I like my school because the scholars here are very smart and active," Ware said to the governor and crowd. She went on to ask him to help her school grow and to take care of her community.

Dudley Street School Awarded $165,000 by BPIOctober 16, 2014
The Dudley Street School was awarded $165,000 by the Boston Promise Initiative (BPI). BPI is part of the Promise Neighborhoods U.S. Department of Education initiative designed to improve student achievement by partnering families and schools with their local neighborhoods and institutions. The school was one of nine community and school-based partnerships in the Dudley neighborhood awarded grant funding through BPI. World's Finest Chocolate FundraiserMarch 18, 2014
DSNCS scholars and staff are currently selling World's Finest Chocolate as a fundraiser for the school. Chocolate bars are $2.00. If you are interested in buying, selling, or EATING some chocolate, please contact us. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 and we are getting closer and closer everyday. Come by the main office to check out our progress! This sale will be running through May 2, 2014.
Governor Patrick and Mayor-Elect Walsh visit DSNCSDecember 03, 2013
On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor-Elect Marty Walsh visited DSNCS to launch the Boston Promise Corps program, made up of the Boston Teacher Residency and the Dudley Promise Corps. The speaking program included remarks from the Governor and Mayor-Elect, the Massachusetts Service Alliance, Boston Promise Corps members, BPE's Jesse Solomon, DSNI's John Barros, Principal Christine Landry, and DSCNS scholars.
